A blog is a running commentary that is usually updated on a regular basis. Blogs have become very popular because they are a convenient, inexpensive way to get your message out to others.

How do I start?

You do not need a web site to have a blog. There are many free sites that will host a blog for you. The two most popular are Blogger and WordPress. Each site says that signing up takes only seconds, and it is true! They offer various looks to choose from, should you decide to blog.

So, free sounds like a good deal. Should you just do it? You have nothing to lose! It is free and easy, so go ahead and do it! It is a great way to get your feet wet and see if you like blogging. And do not forget, it is free!

Suppose I want a web site and a blog?

There are a couple of things you can do. Buy the web site name you want (WebHostingBuzz.com) and we can point it to a blog you have already started on Blogger or WordPress. The cost to you is the price of the domain name and its yearly renewal. There is no hosting fee because your blog stays on Blogger or WordPress.

If you would like more control and want the blog on your own site, you (or we) would buy the domain name and we would install WordPress directly on the server for your use. The costs are the domain name and its yearly renewal, plus an annual hosting fee to Oatmeal Girls.
